Hello Family and Friends! In case you didn't know, I work for the Level Playing Field Institute (LPFI) and it is truly my favorite non-profit organization. Because I love this place, I am asking you to join me in supporting this fantastic cause! At LPFI, we see diversity as a social justice responsibility. Our programs provide underrepresented students of color, in particular low-income first generation students, with the access, opportunity, and preparation required to complete degrees in STEM. The Diversity Begins With Me fund supports our SMASH program. What is SMASH? SMASH is a three-year program that includes a 5-week summer STEM college-prep program and year-round academic support for rising 10th-12th graders who attend high schools in Northern and Southern California. Through SMASH, our scholars take computer science courses - often for the first time - and receive a laptop for the summer. This fund seeks to purchase laptops for our scholars. My goal is to raise $650.00 to underwrite the cost of one laptop. Please support me in the worthy cause and donate to the Diversity Begins With Me fund today!
